Thank you for letting me take your portrait on the street today—it was a pleasure! Below, you’ll find the details on how to receive your photos.
Who am I?
My name is Marco Goeman, and in 2024 I began creating street portraits of people I meet during my walks. I chose this approach to ensure I don’t photograph anyone without permission or post images online without their consent. This way, I also maintain creative control over how I direct each pose.
How can you receive your photos?
You’ve either received my business card or scanned the QR code from my phone. You can send me an email or reach out thru the button in the bottom-right corner of my website.
Please make sure to include:
Your name and email address
A brief description of your appearance or outfit today (this helps me identify you, since I often photograph multiple people on the same day)
Do you need to pay for the photos?
Nope! I photograph for the joy of it, not to make money. In fact, by letting me take your picture, you’ve already ‘paid’ in a way.
Will I receive all the photos?
No! I carefully select the best shots from the session and enhance them with Photoshop to create a polished final result. The number of photos you’ll receive depends on the quality and outcome of the shoot.
What do I do with the photos?
The photos may be used to grow my portfolio, which means they could appear on my website or be part of an exhibition. Naturally, I treat every image and person portrayed with respect.
Objection to the use of the photos
The subject may object to the use of their photographs as described under “what do I do with the photos?”. Such an objection must be explicitly and in writing communicated at the time the message is sent to the photographer.
If an objection is made, the photographs will not be edited, and the subject will not receive any image files.
Receiving photos without the photographer using them
If the subject wishes to receive the photographs but does not grant permission for their use in the photographer’s portfolio as described under “what do I do with the photos?”, the photographs may be provided for a fee of 10 euros per photo.
In such cases, the photographs are supplied solely for the subject’s personal use and may not be resold, distributed, or used commercially without the photographer’s prior written consent.
